15 years of service to her neighbor and friend

For Sheeba, Jasmin provides the feet. Sheeba who lost the ability of the legs at 4 cannot move without someone’s help. And for the past 15 years, her neighbour and friend Jasmin has been lifting her and taking her to places.
Be
it going to cinema or going to the Church at Mavoor or the Siva Temple at
Thiruvannor, at all times Jasmin has been her constant help and companion.
Even when she underwent treatment for 8 months at Arya Vaidya Sala,
Kottakkal, Jasmin was her bedside attendant for the entire period.
“People
call us Siamese twins”, says Sheeba, Varanakkuzhy House, Kolathara,
Kozhikkod about her friend while Jasmin says she doesn’t feel the
weight of her friend. “My
mother is fond of her and when she wants to see Sheeba, I just gather her
in my arms and take her home.”
After
SSLC, Sheeba is undergoing a 5-year course in music at Swathi Tirunal Kala
Kendra, Thiruvannoor. “The
music course is my joy and solace”, she says.
And it is her friend who takes her to the music institute, boarding
2 buses and autorickshaw to reach the class.
Even
while dedicating her time for her friend, she is happy to be counted by
Sheeba as the 6th sibling in their family.
