Saramma, B.P. Nagar, Peyad, Thiruvananthapuram 695674

Saramma’s foster children number around 500.  For these are stray birds and beasts that she brings home to nurture.

Saramma, an attender in Higher Education Department lives at B.P. Nagar, Peyad, Thiruvananthapuram.  She spends a considerable amount of her money for the upkeep of these ‘children’.

Among the 500 inmates of her house, the majority are dogs.  Then there are cats and monkeys.  With the meager salary she earns, she cannot feed them beyond one week.  It is with the help of kind-hearted souls the she is able to feed them for the rest of the month.

She sold her property excluding 5 cents in her effort to nurture these animals.  And now this much of space is not sufficient to bring up the numerous inmates.
