Deepak Jagadish, a 10th standard student of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan at Kozhikode has been selected as one among the 12 participants in the international space camp competition organized by the owners of Discovery Channel, Discovery Networks International, USA.
Deepak and other winners will participate in the Discovery Kid Blast Off to be held at Alabama, USA during the 3rd week of September. They will be given one week intense training at the Space Habitat attached to the Marshal Space Flight Centre, NASA.
From India alone, more than 10,000 students had participated in the competition.
Deepak’s father Jagadish is the Manager of State Bank of Travancore at Kozhikode while his mother, Manju is a former principal of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan.
