They are members
of
Haritha Karma Sena entrusted with removal of household waste and are
not rich
by any standards.
Yet when Reeja and Suji
of 13th ward in Udayamperoor saw that the non-degradable
waste
collected from a house contained a purse which in turn had 15
sovereigns of
gold in it, they had no hesitation to alert the rightful owners and
hand over
the same.
It was only then
that
the owners themselves became aware of the loss.
The duo was
later feted
by the Ward Development Committee.
