Axelia Centre run by Silesian nuns at Kottiyam, Kollam is engaged in the twin activities of service and awareness creation.

Apart from running an ICSE-school for the past 14 years, the Centre manages a working women’s hostel, computer centre, an employment scheme for housewives, book binding, craftworks etc.

The book binding unit, aimed at the married women, is now providing support to about 100 families.  The stitching centre makes uniforms and nighties  while the artisans unit produces cloth and paper-made articles.

A group of 9 nuns led by Mother Superior is running all the activities under the Centre.  In future, the Centre plans to network the job seekers and employers of Kollam besides providing effective training for the potential employees.  Trusting the bounty of the Almighty, the Centre goes on with its service activities.
