Dr.Sujatha, an allopathic doctor, wouldn’t have come for infertility treatment at Anjaneya Ayurveda Hospital, Panoor, Kannur, if she didn’t have confidence in the treatment available there. In fact, she is one of the successful patients who come from within and outside the State for a cheaper and traditional solution to childlessness.
Dr.M.K.Chandrasekharan Nair, a 3rd generation ayurvedic practitioner is the chief physician at the hospital. While allopathic treatment involves expenditure to the tune of lakhs, at Anjaneya, even the most complicated cases wouldn’t cost more than Rs.10000. Besides, the doctor is candid enough to admit low chances of success in certain cases.
Based on his experience in treating almost 2000 patients, Dr.Nair says that there could be many reasons for infertility and these could even include tension or excessive indulgence in sex. In Ayurveda, there is treatment for each of these causes. According to him, female infertility is easier to cure than male infertility. While there is no treatment of certain inborn defects and old age related infertility, there is hope for curing other types of infertility by undergoing treatment under expert care.
