Here is an example of religious amity. G.Sebastian, a Christian, has taken been chosen as Secretary of the Organising Committee of the Chempakathin Para Siva Temple, Vellarada, Thiruvananthapuram.
Although this Organising Committee often has Christians as members, it is the first time that one of them is chosen as the Secretary.
He considers it a sacred duty to reach the temple by 4.30 pm after taking bath and play ‘Suprabhatham’ for the believers. He is only happy to discharge the duties of the Secretary with the active support of the Hindu brethren.
