TRANSPARENT CLOCK: AN INNOVATIVE DESIGN BY VAKERI GANESH | |||||||
|
Transparent clock: this new design in clock making has been patented by Vakery Ganesh, an employee of the Geneva Watch Works, Udupi. This completely transparent and empty clock has just the 2 hands visible outside. It would thus be able show different times on its 2 faces. Another record of sorts is its ability to reduce its thickness up to 5 mm or even 2 mm. Since the face is transparent and thin, the machinery is hidden in the round frame. Even the Japanese watch company Seiko, which had brought out the automatic day-date watches in 1986, praised his effort. Son of late Vakeri Madhavan, he is working in the company being run by his elder brother Lohitakshan in Udupi. The transparent clock
