Dr.James Vadakkumcherry, criminologist in Police Department, has won the American Society for Criminology’s international award for lifetime contribution in the field. Dr.James, who has published 50 books and more than 600 papers on the topic is the ideal person to be the first one outside academic and research institutions, on whom this Distinguished International Scholar award is being conferred.
The earlier winners of the award were from Western countries like UK, Italy and Germany. He was selected by a jury consisting of 4 experts from distinguished Universities of the world.
