Young farmer who used to cultivate medicinal plants in leased land, Abdul Rahman Karuvally from Erumathadam, Kolathur, Malappuram, has won the P.K.Narayanan Oushada Mitram award instituted by the Nagarjuna Research Foundation.
Undaunted by the absence of sufficient land to do the cultivation, he had decided to cultivate in leased land. And this had made him a strong contender for the Rs.15001-award.
