A full-length Bhagavad Geetha that fits inside the palm of one’s hand: Central Excise Inspector V.Muraleedharan, Eradu House, Ayiloor, Alathur, Palakkad is the custodian of this precious book. According to pundits, this is the smallest version of the Celestial Song available now.

For almost 100 years, his family has been safeguarding the tiny book, which measures 2.3 cm by 1.7 cm with a thickness of 0.6 cm.  According to Swami Sandeep Chaitanya, the book could be compressed into such a tiny form, as the script used is Sanskrit.  The book is kept inside a silver box fitted with a lens for easy reading.

In addition to the Sanskrit text, the book contains a few pictures illustrating scenes from the Mahabharatha.
