Malayali doctor in USA, Dr. Isaac Samuel has won the $ 0.625 million career development award for his project report on the study of pancreatic diseases.

Dr.Samuel is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and an Assistant Professor at the University of Iowa, Karvar.  He has to his credit FRCS from UK and FACS from the Rush Medical College, Chicago.  While doing research at the North-Western University during 1991-94, he had won the ‘Top 20 promising young surgeons’ award.

In addition, he has won the Florence Lindsay Young Investigator award.  His mother Lahoth Elsie Samuel, Elanthoor, is practicing at Bangalore after retirement from Indian Revenue Service.
