A.S.Chandrakanta, Assistant Professor and Head of Electronics and Instrumentation Department at Koratty Polytechnic, has won the best Polytechnic teacher 2002 award instituted by the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE)..
She is the 1st woman to win this award. The award was given away at the national meeting of ISTE at Mangalore. Chandrakanta has worked in the Polytechnics at Valappad and Thrissur and undergone training in Canada.
