CAMBRIDGE UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIP FOR MALAYALI DOCTOR

Cambridge Scholarship of Cambridge University, London has been won by a Malayali doctor.  Dr. Koshy P. Eapen is the 1st Malayali doctor to win this award, which entails the recipient to an amount of Rs.90 lakhs over a 3-year period. 

On successful completion of 1st year of study he will obtain his M.Phil.  This will enable him to study for the next 2 years to complete his doctorate on ‘Upkeep of health among old people in India’. 

Another honour that has come his way is the Cambridge Nehru Scholarship and the subsequent offer of admission in 9 British Universities.

The Cambridge scholarship will cover his journey ticket and stay in London besides food, cloths, books and fees.  In addition he will get Rs.50000 per month as pocket money.

Dr.Koshy completed MBBS from Medical College, Kottayam.  His parents are Philip Eapen and Kochumol.  His younger brother Dr.Jacob Eapen is an Assistant Professor in a dental college at Coorg.
