Formal education upto 4th standard, but soaring ideas leading to patent in hydro power production: 50-year-old Muhammed Ibrahim of Puthiya Veettil, Kannanoor, Thrithala, Malappuram, has been pursuing his idea of increasing the power production from mini hydro projects.  His ‘River Neurology Power System’ has been awarded the patent recently.

According to his scheme of things, by placing machines at 10 metre intervals to accelerate the water that is fed into the turbine, it is possible to increase the production of electricity.  Since the scheme involves only small pipes of 5cm diameter, environmental costs are also minimized, he claims.

Hydro projects for hilltops and plain land are some other schemes which he proposes.
