3 years ago, the invention of a low-powered water-drawing system by a schoolboy in Pathanamthitta received praise from scientific community in general and the then President of India, Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam in particular.  The President met him during his tour of the State 2 years ago.

Now Aasis Vinayak.P.G, a 4th semester student of B.Sc Physics at Loyola College, Chennai has again created ripples by developing an internet search engine for Indian languages.  His offer, available at mozhi.org is comparatively problem-free in the sense that one does not have to use virtual keyboard to enter words and it supports popular browsers like Firefox. Here no font installation is required.  The user may have to enable Unicode support in the browser, though.

According to him, Mozhi would be a great help in searching newspapers, magazines etc in Indian languages.
