All her well-wishers, including parents, thought that Vinodini would either do research in Genetics and continue her career in that field or join the Civil Services.  But when she, instead, chose to channel her talents into the up and down world of advertising, no one was quite sure whether this eldest of the 4 daughters of a conservative family was making the right decision.

But Vinodini, who was equally good in studies, elocution and literature, did not have any doubt.  Today as the head of ‘Team One’, a leading advertising firm in Kerala, she knows her choice wasn’t wrong.

Before starting on her own with Team One, she was with the R.K.Swamy Advertising, a job she got based on the 2-month diploma she did in Advertising. It was the unusually long delay in the publication of of M.Sc exams results that had prompted her to do the 2-month course.  But once she entered the stream of advertising, the flow kept her going.

While she rose steadily in the hierarchy of the organization, there was a tapering involvement in the creative activities.  This prompted her to start a venture on her own – Team One in Kerala.  The professional approach of the firm resulted in steady stream of award to the fledgling organization and a strong bond among her creative team that gels them together. The latest award to come to her is the Young Woman Achiever award of Brook Bond Green Label.

But Vinodini, who has learned classical music and kathakali, considers as her greatest achievement, the assessment by her daughter Ria, a student of 10th standard that her mother is her role model.
