She was
born in a middle-class family in Kozhikode in the
not-so-entrepreneur-friendly
Kerala in 1998. At the age of 3, when
play should have normally consumed her interest, Sreelakshmi Suresh turned her
gaze to the possibilities of computer.
And by the age of 6, she had designed a simple website of
her family with
photos.
Fast
forward to the age 11, and she founded her own company eDesign and
offered
services in web design and SEO. At that
age she was able to do work for Microsoft, Nokia and Coca Cola. Clear vision and hard work smoothened her
way.
Her
technical achievements were noticed by keen observers.
In 2008, she was awarded the National child
award for exceptional achievement by the Women and Child Welfare
Ministry. Golden web award from US and
Canada’s 60 Plus
Education award too came her way.
She is one of the youngest CEOs of the world with her assets pegged at 51 crore rupees. Her story reinforces that timely encouragement of children’s interests can lead them to great achievements.
